Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shipping Manager to join our warehouse team. The
Shipping Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our shipping operations,
ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
● Lead and manage the shipping team, providing guidance, training, and performance
feedback.
● Coordinate daily shipping activities, including order picking, packing, and labeling.
● Ensure accurate order fulfillment and verify that shipments match order specifications.
● Collaborate with other departments to prioritize shipments and meet delivery deadlines.
● Implement and maintain efficient shipping processes to minimize errors and delays.
● Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies to maintain stock accuracy.
● Oversee the maintenance of shipping equipment and materials, ensuring safe and
effective operations.
● Address and resolve any shipping-related issues or customer inquiries promptly.
● Maintain records of shipments, invoices, and other relevant documentation.
● Analyze shipping data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
● Stay up to date with shipping regulations, compliance, and best practices.
Requirements:
● High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
● Proven experience as a Shipping Manager or similar role in a warehouse environment.
● Strong leadership and team management skills.
● Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
● Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
● Proficiency in using shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
● Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and other
departments.
● Knowledge of shipping regulations, carriers, and freight forwarding.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high shipping volumes.
● Forklift certification and experience preferred.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Pay: $60,000 a year
