This Behind-the-Scenes features a selection of rare volumes including the oldest book in the library’s collection\, a handwritten ship log\, and the Bible that came over on the Restauration in 1825 – 200 years ago! This year\, 2025\, is the 200th anniversary of Norwegian emigration – a milestone being recognized across the country as well as here in Decorah\, Iowa.
