Tournament Information

This tournament is a best-shot tournament. Each person tees off and after all players have driven, the team uses the best lie. Subsequently, each player then uses the selected lie to continue. This process continues throughout the play of the hole. During the 18 holes, you must use 2 drives from each team member.

Men 62 & Under tee from the WHITE.

Women tee from the GREEN.

Men 63-74 tee from the GOLD.

Men 75+ tee from the GREEN.

Team members can drop the ball within a club length of the selected shot but cannot use the club length to provide relief from a sand trap, water hazard or move yourself onto a green from the fringe or out of the rough.

One score is recorded per team. A team captain needs to be selected to keep an accurate score. It is your team’s responsibility to turn in your score card at the Registration Table at the end of play.

Maximum score per hole will be a triple bogey. Ex: Par 4 – stroke limit of 7; Par 3 – stroke limit of 6; Par 5 – stroke limit of 8. If you are two over par and not in the hole proceed to the next hole and record a triple bogey score.

Cards are marked to indicate your team’s starting hole. For the first hole, the team will tee off in alphabetical order. On subsequent holes, the team with the lowest score on the previous hole will play first, then the other team will tee off.

Please keep carts in designated areas and at least 30 feet from all greens. Please use cart paths where available.

Each team will receive a 60 ft. length of string to use anywhere during the 18 holes of golf.

The following rules apply to the string:

  • Players cannot use the string to make a shot. You can put it next to the hole and must count the putt as one shot.
  • They are not to be counted as a stroke. They add on to the shots you have taken and put you closer to the hole. Example using the string: Your team hits two shots on a par five and your ball is not quite on the green. You take 15 feet of string and this puts you next to the hole in two, and then you putt shot three in for an eagle.
  • Once string has been used for a shot. That portion cannot be used again. **Please do not leave string remnants on the course.

Hole Events

Golf events are an individual competition with individual winners. Prizes for hole contest winners will be given on an individual basis, not on a team basis. In the event of a tie, the prize will go to the first qualifier. You must play the qualifying ball.

Use card holder to mark ball position and record players name on card. For closest to pin events leave card on the fringe—do not remove holder. Use tape measure to measure to ball (leave the pin in the hole and measure from pin to ball.)
