Chamber Ambassadors were pleased to kick off Chrysalis Children’s Center Open House at 219 West Water Street with a ribbon cutting. Ambassadors were able to tour the space and learn about the available youth mental health services. Ambassadors joined Office Manager Alexandra Engelhardt, Executive Director Charlie Woodcock, and Board Directors to cut the red ribbon.
This location is an expansion of Northeast Iowa Behavioral Health so that children can be served in a space specifically tailored to their ages/needs. The Chrysalis Children’s Center has four play therapy rooms – including one dedicated PCIT space (Parent Child Interactive Therapy), a Telehealth Room, and a Youth Drop-In Center.
*The Youth Drop-In Center is designed to serve kids grades 5-8. Open hours to the public are Thursdays 330PM to 530PM. No cost to be in the space. “A welcoming, safe space for kids grades 5-8 to hang out, play games, do activities, learn new skills, and just be themselves. Not therapy-related – just good, supervised fun!”
Thank you Ambassadors Lashelle Evans & Maureen Duncklee (Viking State Bank & Trust) and Heather Benzing (Decorah Bank & Trust Co.)
