Wednesday, October 26th, the Chamber Ag. Committee delivered 180 goodie bags to farmers and harvest supporters in the Northeast Quadrant of Winneshiek County. This is the 19th year for the Stay Safe, Take a Break program. More than 30 area business contributed to the bags – everything from snacks to work gloves, box cutters, tire pressure gauges, seed depth tools. The local Decorah FFA Chapter packs the bags and preps them for delivery. The Ag. Committee divides the quadrant, hands out maps, and six trucks drive to find farmers who are out working in the fields /on their farms. The Chamber Ag. Committee works hard year-round to keep the agricultural sector and business sector connected. Committee members serving include:
